Taglight 2006
Taglight is a celebration of the incidental street artworks that result from the relationship between graffiti writers and the people who try to keep their walls graffiti free.
It is created by generating a low relief of a piece of graffiti directly from a photograph. The relief is then formed into a cylinder with the flat surface on the outside and the image on the inside. The model is built using SLS rapid manufacturing technology.
During the day the light shade appears blank and anonymous but at night, when switched on, a photographic image of graffiti suddenly appears on the surface.
